Erin Duffy Show Stables is a show jumping training facility located in Los Angeles, California. Our training program develops horses and riders from beginners to the highest level hunter, jumper, and equitation levels. Our Staff and team take great pride in giving the best care to your horses so they can reach their full potential while keeping them healthy and happy.
Erin Duffy, Trainer
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Erin has spent most of her life in the saddle. At the age of 13, Erin started riding with Judy Martin where she competed in Equitation and jumpers classes, winning the 1985 L.A. County Finals and CPHA Finals and finishing second in the USET Final to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. After a successful Junior career, Erin stepped into the professional ring and started working for Mary Tyng at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. She then decided to get more experience and go work riding for one of the top riders in Europe, Jan Tops (Gold medalist in the Barcelona Olympics and European Championships) in Holland and also for Stephex Stables in Belgium, a well renowned importer of top international show jumpers.
Upon returning to the United States, Erin worked riding and training at Newmarket Stables in Del Mar, CA. Along with developing many great horses into the year-end and national championships, being numerous times in the top 3 ranking of the World Champion Hunter Rider and competing in the Grand Prix ring with numerous victories, she trained young riders from ponies to 1.50m classes.
Erin started her own successful business in 2010 returning to the Los Angeles Area. She now supports a born of 25-30 horses ranging from riders showing in the Walk-Triot up to the 1.30 Jumpers, and shows at all the major shows in the Southern California area, as well as, Pony Finals, Devon, Capital Challenge, Washington International, and The National Horse Show.
